Michael is our son. His dad,his sister and I are so proud of his bravery and courage. He graduated from Calhoun High in 2003. While attending NGCSU is when he got notified of the deployment. Mike has a personal relationship with Jesus and we know his faith will see him through. It is God's will that he make this sacrifice for his country and even though we miss him terribly, we know he misses his friends and family even more. Please keep him and all the troops in your prayers.

Michael is a member of our Calhoun Civil Air Patrol Squadron and he was always willing to do whatever was asked of him and to do it to the best of his ability. As cadet commander he was a mentor to all of the other cadets and respected by all of them. The entire squadron is very proud of him and pray that God will bring him and the other members of the 48th safely home.

Capt. Alan Cunningham, Squadron Commander

I just wanted to say Hello to B-108th Armor. I served as your Fire Support Officer in 2000 during annual training in preparation for a Bosnia Deployment. I hope that all is well in iraq and wish your entire team a safe return.
